This isn't a bet.
There's no one on the other side of a Lokt stake. No odds, no opponent, no payout bigger than what you put in. The most you can ever get back is your own money — and if you miss, that money doesn't come to us, it goes to a charity you chose before you started. Lokt is a commitment device: a way to make a promise to yourself cost something, so you actually keep it.

One flat fee. No hidden cuts.
Platform fee
₹10 flat
Charged once per stake, shown before you pay. Do your goal and you get it back along with your stake. Lokt only keeps it when a stake fails.
Stake range
₹20 – ₹5,000
You choose how much you're putting behind your goal, anywhere in this range.
Cancellation window
Up to 4 hrs before
Cancel a stake up to 4 hours before its proof window opens for a full refund. After that, it can't be cancelled.
A worked example
You stake ₹20 on "Go to the gym." At checkout, you're charged ₹30 — the ₹20 stake plus the ₹10 flat fee.
- You do it: your proof is approved, and the full ₹30 comes back to you. Net cost: ₹0.
- You don't: your ₹20 stake goes to the charity you chose. Net cost: ₹30 — and ₹20 of that did some good.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as proof?
It depends on the goal. For puzzle-style goals like "Wake up," proof is a short puzzle you solve inside the app during your proof window. For goals like "Go to the gym" or "Cook a meal," proof is a photo, which the Lokt team reviews (or which is auto-approved if it isn't reviewed within 12 hours). Time is always measured by our server's clock, never your phone's.
When does my proof window open and close?
It opens before your deadline — 15 minutes for puzzle goals, up to a few hours for photo goals depending on the goal — and closes 15 minutes after your deadline.
What happens to my money if I hit my goal?
Your stake is refunded in full to your original payment method. So is the ₹10 platform fee — you get the full amount you paid back.
What happens if I miss it?
Your stake is donated to the charity you chose when you set up the stake. Lokt never keeps it, and there's no way to get a missed stake back once the window closes.
Can I cancel a stake?
Yes — up to 4 hours before its proof window opens, for a full refund of your stake and fee. After that cutoff, it can't be cancelled. If you never finish paying, the stake auto-cancels after 30 minutes and you're not charged anything.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are issued through Razorpay back to your original payment method. Banks typically take 5–7 working days to actually show them in your account.
What does Lokt do with my Google sign-in info?
Lokt uses Google Sign-In only to create and identify your account. We receive your name, email address, and whether your email is verified — that's it. We never access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
